In pharmaceutical industry rapid mixer granulator plays vital role to mix the ingredients and make granules before compression. For wet granulation, choppers and impellers are mainly responsible in rapid granulator. Rapid Mixer Granulator is designed for Mixing of substances uniformly and homogeneously with specially designed and angled choppers and mixer blades (agitator or beaters). Ultimately you get mixture with uniform particle size distribution and uniform product shape (without lumps) is achieved. Rapid Mixer Granulator is designed to achieve excellent mixing and consistent granules at lower operating cost along with higher productivity. Better mixing and closed control of granule size leads to faster tableting speeds with improved quality and least rejections.

At the bottom of the dome shaped stainless steel bowl Impellers are fixed with two half-length blades and two full length blades. Our skilled professionals have designed the impeller in such a way that full length blades push the material and half-length blade lift the material. This impeller helps you to break the wet mass into small pieces and granules.

In rapid mixer granulator, the formation of granules occurs by rising, whirling and tumbling motion of material. Dry mixing is done by adding all ingredients into the RMG by rotation of impeller and chopper at high speed. During the addition of binder solutions to the powder impeller and chopper are operated at low speed. After the formation of wet mass impeller and chopper are operated at high speed to form the granules of required size.

Dry mixing takes about 3-5 minutes to mix the ingredients, wet mixing takes 5-10 minutes to make the wet mass of material while the granulation process takes 5-10 minutes to make 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm sized granules. Mixing time consumed in processing is depends upon the ingredients quantity and their particle size.
